2) to hold one's horses= to keep patience

Example: Judy always tells Punam to hold her horses.

3) to have butterflies in the stomach= to be nervous or excited for something

Example: Anik's result will be published tomorrow. That's why, he has butterflies in his stomach.

Example: We have to keep everything secret to protect our prestige. We cannot let the cat out of the bag.

5) rat race= a tremendous competition for power or position

Example: In this age of modern technology, everyone is getting involved in rat race intentionally or unintentionally.

1) black and blue= bruised and beaten

Example: The failure couldn't leave Justin in a black and blue state of mind.

2) black and white= very clear

Example: It is certain that Lucy's lectures are black and white.

3) black sheep= the weird member of a group

Example: Jimi is the black sheep of our group because she never listens to the group leader and comes late.

4) once in a blue moon= very rarely

Example: I meet my brother once in a blue moon.

5) the green light= permission

Example: Nobita's mother has given him the green


 light to go to the gallery and enjoy the cricket match.
