IELTS WRITING TASK 01 (MAP)

The given map illustrates a remarkable transformation of Ryemouth village between 1995 and present.

Overall, it is clear that many changes have been taken place with the course of time. The village has been noticeably modernised with more housings, car parking facility, restaurants, apartments, golf field etcetera in the present in comparison to the past.

A farmland and a forest park were situated on the east of the village in 1995. However, these are replaced with a golf field at present. It is also noticeable that two tennis clubs are located in this field. The number of trees has been drastically decreased since the forest park does not exist anymore. The number of houses has also increased in the present time to accommodate extra people. Moreover, there is a car park which is attached to the hotel. Car represents economical flourishment of this place and works as a sign of aristocracy. Nowadays, people do not rely on fishing and selling fish anymore since more and more alternative job opportunities are created to earn livelihood. As a result, the fish market  which was situated in the west-south region of the village is now replaced with a number of apartments. So, the domination of over population is obvious. Lastly, a fishing port was located at the heart of the sea to import and export fish. Nevertheless, it is disappeared now.
