Question:

The graph below shows the number of tourists visting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.

Summaries the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where revelant.


Write at least 150 words.

Model Answer:

The given graph demonstrates the number of tourists who made a visit to a Carribean island between the years 2010 to 2017. 

Overall, it is clear that the number of visitors who stayed on the cruise ships and the number of tourists staying on the island had been fluctuated over the years.People did not intend to stay on the cruise ships in the beginning years and gave priority to staying on the island. However, the scenario got changed over time. The number of total visitors followed an upward trend from 2010 to 2016 and sharply increased in 2017.

Though the number of visitors staying on the cruise ships dropped in 2012, it grew higher steadily and became 2 millions in the year 2017. The number of people who visited the island and stayed on the island rose from 2011 to 2013 and then got stabilized till 2015. The number was 1.5 millions during the period of stability. In 2016, the number followed an insignificant fall, but it again became 1.5 millions in the concluding year of the given timeframe.

The total number of the travellers to the island consistently augmented from the beginning year. It was one million in 2010 and became more than 2.5 millions within 6 years. Noticeably, the graph followed a significant increase in 2017 and the total number of tourists became 3.5 millions in this year.
