IELTS WRITING TASK 01 (PROCESS DIAGRAM)

The given process diagram illustrates the whole brick manufacturing method for the building industry.

Overall, it is clear that the total process includes seven different steps and the requirement of various apparatuses is also noticeable. Moreover, a great deal of time and temperature are also inevitable in the completion of the process.

Firstly, clay has been collected by the digger. The collected clay is placed on a metal grid in the second phase so that it can be crushed into smaller pieces on the roller. Then sand and water are mixed with the clay and bricks are formed either by using a wire cutter or by putting the mixture on a mould. In the fourth step, the bricks are sent to a drying oven and kept there for twenty-four to forty-eight hours. The bricks are sent to a big mechanism consisted of a kiln of moderate temperature, a kiln of high-temperature, and a cooling chamber. The kiln of optimal temperature bakes the bricks at 200°C-980°C and the high-temperatured kiln gives the bricks a concrete shape in between 870°C and 1300°C. The bricks are cooled down in the cooling chamber after that. The sixth step includes the packaging of the bricks. Finally, the bricks are delivered to their destinations.
